Set Schedule — 40 Hours Weekly

• Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Lunch Break: One hour (paid)
• Saturday & Sunday: Off

United Protective Services is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-service-oriented Full-Time Security Officer for a prestigious Class A high-rise office building located in The Woodlands, TX.

This position combines front desk/receptionist responsibilities with interior and exterior roving patrols. The ideal candidate must be comfortable interacting with tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management while maintaining a professional security presence throughout the property.

This is an active position requiring extended periods of walking and standing throughout the workday. Exceptional customer service, professionalism, and reliability are essential.

Position Overview

The Security Officer will serve as a primary point of contact for tenants and visitors while assisting with building access, front desk operations, and routine security patrols.

This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to transition between receptionist duties and active patrol responsibilities throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional front desk/receptionist coverage, greeting and assisting tenants, visitors, and vendors
• Maintain a welcoming, professional, and customer-service-focused environment
• Monitor building access and assist with visitor and contractor check-in procedures
• Conduct routine interior building, exterior perimeter, and parking garage patrols
• Maintain a visible security presence throughout the property
• Report suspicious activity or security concerns
• Inspect doors, stairwells, common areas, and access points for security and safety concerns
• Identify and report maintenance issues, lighting outages, safety hazards, and unusual activity
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies in accordance with site post orders
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation using Vision InSites
• Communicate concerns to property management and patrol supervisors as appropriate
• Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and courteous demeanor at all times

Requirements

• Minimum one year of security, concierge, front desk, receptionist, or customer service experience preferred
• Active Texas Level II or Level III Security License
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must reside within a 20-mile radius of ZIP Code 77380
• Must be available Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills are required
• Comfortable working in a professional Class A corporate high-rise environment
• Must be physically capable of walking and standing for extended periods throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Comfortable conducting interior, exterior, and parking garage patrols
• Able to perform outdoor patrols in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain
• Ability to operate a smartphone or computer to complete reports and documentation
• Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and independent decision-making skills
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
