Job Skills / Requirements

Location: HES- Anderson University

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7A-4P Weather related events on call as needed

 

No prior work experience required!

Every job within a school district plays an important role—and this includes out mover/utility technicians. As part of our operations team, you will help prepare school facilities by supporting the safe and efficient movement of furniture, equipment, and materials across various school sites. You may also be tasked with light painting, grounds work, or other various tasks as needed.

We have a full time and part time position available currently.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Load, unload, and transport furniture and classroom equipment within the school building.
  • Set up and arrange classrooms or event spaces according to provided layout plans.
  • Handle materials carefully, following all safety procedures and lifting protocols.
  • Assist with organizing storage spaces and maintaining clean, hazard-free work areas.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and take direction from supervisors.
  • Light painting.
  • Grounds or landscaping.
  • light general maintenance.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read, follow instructions, and work as part of a team.
  • Punctual, dependable, and professional in demeanor.
  • Must be able to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Previous moving or general labor experience is a plus but not required.
  • Previous grounds experience is a plus but not required.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift, push, and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, standing, and walking for extended periods (up to 8 hours/day).
  • Ability to operate lawn equipment, or other various tools as needed.
  • Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor environments.
