Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Vehicle Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain cars, trucks, and/or commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, and fluid checks
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using diagnostic tools and software
  • Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper operation
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records
  • Follow safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines
  • Communicate repair needs and timelines clearly to service advisors or customers
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a vocational or technical automotive program preferred
  • Proven experience as an automotive or vehicle mechanic
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems (mechanical, electrical, and electronic)
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools
  • Valid driver’s license (commercial license may be required for some roles)
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to lift heavy parts and stand for extended periods

Certifications (Preferred)

  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications
