Job Skills / Requirements

The HVAC Technician is responsible for conserving and maintaining customer facilities and buildings in outstanding conditions as well as all equipment and systems to achieve excellent operations and safety performance. Ability to perform light maintenance light maintenance duties such as inspecting drivers, motors, belts, check fluids levels, replace filters and follow inspection list. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, to precision measuring instructions, electrical and electronic testing devices. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by reading blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary Inspect, operate and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery. Knowledge of relevant equipment, safety policies, procedures and strategies for the protection of people data, property and institutions.  Fulfilling work order requests and ability to determine and make recommendations as to when subcontractors need to be called to perform major maintenance, repairs and upgrades.

 

 

Education Requirements (Any)

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Associate's Degree Preferred
