Overview

Every job within a school district is important! An HES custodian plays an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of school facilities, ensuring every school day runs smoothly and students can focus on learning. In addition to regular building maintenance functions, the school custodian provides direct support to classroom teachers in set up and maintenance of furniture and equipment.

Job Skills / Requirements

Looking for a Team Minded Individual that has custodial experience and loves sports. Full time, year around custodial position with room for growth.  

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS FINGERPRINTS AND BACKGROUND CHECK 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: 

• Maintaining a clean atmosphere
• Maintain and clean your equipment
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub and wax floors within your area
• Maintain and clean all gym floors and bleachers nightly  
• Maintain and clean all locker rooms PE & Team
• Maintain and clean all outside sports facilities at the high school to include PA Booths, meeting rooms, bathrooms
• Maintain and clean sports conferance room and Athletic Directors Office 
• Set up team charis and scorers tables for Basketball and volleyball 
• Assist with non-sports related events in the gyms 
• Additional job related duties as required by the supervisor 

QUALIFICATIONS:

      *  2 Years of Custodial Experience

      *  Able to read, write and comprehend at a level appropriate to the duties of the position

      *  Good Interpersonal Skills 

      *  Must be able to work with a diverse group of people 

      *  Willingness to learn

      *  Criminal Background Check 

Education Requirements (Any)

High School Diploma or Equivalent
