We are currently looking for experienced Security Guards to join our team full-time in Squamish at a post-secondary campus.
$500 Hiring Bonus for OFA 2! If you are hired between May 20, 2024 - June 15, 2024 for one of these opportunities and you already have a valid OFA 2 certificate, you will receive a $500 bonus upon successful completion of your 3-month probationary period.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct regular foot patrols
- Monitor CCTV cameras
- Provide first aid
- Manage lost and found
- Write detailed incident reports
- Respond to alarms
- De-escalate potentially violent situations
- Interact with clients and the general public
REQUIREMENTS:
- Class 5 BC Driver's License
- Your own vehicle to commute to & from work is an asset
- Occupational First Aid Level 2 (or the willingness and ability to successfully complete this training with Paladin if hired)
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal); confidence interacting verbally with team members, client personnel, members of the public, and emergency services.
- A passion for being active, since your patrols may be indoors or outdoors, in all weather conditions, and can include stairwells, uneven surfaces, and parkades.
- Physical ability to stand and/or patrol for the majority of a shift (8-hours average).
- Confidence approaching and leading in emergency situations, including trauma, aggression, intoxication, bodily fluids, etc.
- A keen eye for watching and reporting irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations.
- Basic skills in utilizing technology, including writing reports on a computer, tracking patrols in a smartphone, and communicating via two-way radio.
Starting Pay Rate: $21/hr during training, then increases to $24/hr.
Certification Requirements (All)
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
