Campbellford Memorial Hospital (CMH) is a 34-bed health care facility located in Trent Hills. It serves approximately 40,000 Northumberland, Peterborough and Hastings County residents, as well as a large seasonal population of cottagers and tourists enjoying the beautiful Kawartha Lakes Region and the Trent River System.

As the only hospital located between Belleville and Peterborough, Ontario, CMH provides a comprehensive array of acute care services including a Special Care Unit, Endoscopy Surgical Suite, Diagnostic Imaging Department, Laboratory, numerous Out-Patient Clinics, 24/7 Emergency Department and numerous community programs including Mental Health, GAIN, and Supportive Housing.

Job Skills / Requirements

As a Security Lead Hand, you will be responsible for working with your reporting staff to deliver the exceptional service Paladin provides. You will also be expected to liase with the site coordinator, clients, and Paladin management in order to ensure site is running smoothly.

Job Description

• Able to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
• Observant and fastidious in note-taking
• Direct team and medical staff in the event of an emergency
• Above average mediation and conflict resolution scenarios
• Concierge-focused (customer service) interactions with the general public, patients, and clients
• Programming access cards and managing active cards
• Schedule and timesheet monitoring and submitting
• Ensuring all site guards are within training compliances and completing mandatory training modules
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
• Copy of your Immunization Records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, TB Skin Test - Step 1 & 2)
• Minimum 2 years of security experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
• Experience in healthcare or healthcare security will be strongly preferred
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, French is considered an asset
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
  • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
  • Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
