Status:                                Full-Time 

Hours:                                Monday to Friday (1400-2200 hrs.)

Pay Rate:                           $19.63/hr.

Site Description:  Bay Adelaide West opened its doors in June 2009. The Bay Adelaide Centre complex encompasses a whole city block and consists of the newly constructed East Tower, 1/2 acre urban plaza. Connected to the PATH (Toronto 27KM underground walkway) with 51 floors and 1,100 underground parking and on site management and 24/7 building access and security.

Job Description:

  • Access control and customer service
  • Managing contractor sign in/out process
  • Managing temporary contract card access, conducting audits as required by management
  • emergency response
  • Responsible for the completion and submission of all site related paperwork
  • Maintain the highest standard of security at all times, being professional in attitude, appearance and application
  • Maintain work flow to ensure that all daily, weekly and monthly tasks and assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner and forwarded to management
  • Ensuring a safe and effective working environment by the proper use of all equipment and resources; maintain compliance with established health and safety policies and procedures
  • Initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments  
  • CCTV Monitoring (relieving the Security Desks as required)
  • Experience with CCure is an asset
  • Fire Alarm Monitoring and Central Alarm and Fire department communications
  • Tenant communication
  • Audit and activity reporting
  • Supporting the card admin with admin duties, large tenant projects
  • Scanning of documents relating to security and maintaining of digital backups
  • Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook
  • Good knowledge of security technology (CCTV, Access Control, Incident Management Software and other security-related system)  CCURE is an asset

Qualifications:

  • Valid Security Guard license
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent/post-secondary diploma or degree
  • Minimum 1 year security related experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English
  • High level of customer service
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Windows based software and knowledge of PC  based incident reporting software
  • Knowledge of access control, CCTV, fire equipment and fire monitoring systems
  • Experience with CCure.
  • Knowledge of relevant Federal, Provincial, Municipal laws and bi-laws
  • Position requires the ability to walk/stand/climb stairs for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
