SCHEDULE: 21 HRS A WEEK -- STARTS NOV 1, 2026

MITCHELLVILLE, MD--ARMED APPLICANTS ONLY

MONDAY - SUNDAY 1900 - 2200 3 HR SHIFTS / 7 DAYS

$25.00 HR / ARMED FOOT PATROL / SHOPPING CENTER

3 OR MORE YEARS OF ARMED SECURITY REQUIRED

CURRENT MSP GUARD CARD - HANDGUN PERMIT - DRIVERS LICENSE

REQUIREMENTS:

At MSC Security, we are committed to providing our clients with the most qualified candidates to safeguard their assets, property, and personnel. We have established a set of criteria that our security officers must meet to ensure optimal service delivery and to enhance their chances of success during their tenure with us. The criteria include:

• Current MSP Guard Card, Handgun Permit and weapon
• Minimum age requirement of 18 years
• Legal work status in the US
• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Reliable and functional transportation (Public transportation is not acceptable)
• Ownership of a cell phone for contact by Operations Supervisors
• Ability to pass a criminal background check with no felony arrests
• Ability to perform duties as stated in post orders, which may include standing/walking for extended periods or lifting
• Familiarity with mobile technology (tablets, smartphones, etc.)
• Possession of a VALID full driver’s license (public transportation is not acceptable)

DUTIES/WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

• Maintain a daily log of all activities during your assigned shift at your assigned post
• Document all incidents occurring during your assigned shift in a detailed incident report
• Conduct walking/vehicular patrols throughout your shift
• Enforce customer rules in a professional and courteous manner
• Arrive on time and in proper uniform at your assigned post
• Ability to interact and communicate with the public
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Active listening skills
• Ability to assess and evaluate emergencies effectively
• Ability to quickly and accurately identify critical issues and respond appropriately
