Armed Security Officer – Military Veterans OR Active/Retired Law Enforcement Preferred

Location: Hopewell, NJ

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Pay: $25.00–$32.00 per hour

Position Overview

St. Moritz Security Services is seeking a professional and dependable Armed Security Officer for a client site in Hopewell, NJ.

Candidates with 4+ years of military experience or active/retired law enforcement experience are strongly preferred!

We encourage qualified military veterans, former service members, and current or retired law enforcement professionals to apply. Candidates with relevant armed security experience who meet the licensing requirements will also be considered.

This position is ideal for individuals with a background in military service, law enforcement, or armed security who demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Requirements

• Strongly preferred: 4+ years of military experience or active/retired law enforcement experience.
• Military veterans and candidates with prior or current law enforcement experience are encouraged to apply.
• Relevant armed security experience is also valued.
• Must possess a current New Jersey SORA license and a valid firearm permit.
• Strong written communication, observation, and report-writing skills.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Must be able to pass all required background screenings and maintain all required licenses and permits.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol the assigned property to help maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Observe, identify, and report suspicious activity or potential security concerns.
• Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Enforce site rules, security procedures, and post orders.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, and other security-related situations.
• Maintain a professional presence while providing customer service and client support.
