Security Supervisor

Location: Merrillville, IN

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM

Pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Security Supervisor to oversee security operations at a professional client site. The ideal candidate will have prior security supervisory experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a professional presence while effectively managing day-to-day security operations.

Requirements

  • Prior security supervisor experience required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening
  • Ability to obtain and maintain applicable automobile insurance

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to conduct web searches and navigate online systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with clients, employees, visitors, authorities, and the public

Essential Functions

  • Supervise and support security personnel and daily site operations
  • Maintain composure and professionalism when dealing with clients, executives, employees, authorities, and the public, including during urgent or emergency situations
  • Maintain and safeguard sensitive and confidential information
  • Complete reports, documentation, and other administrative duties as required
  • Use computer and mobile technology to access schedules, reports, correspondence, and other business information
  • Respond to security incidents and emergencies as needed

Schedule & Working Conditions

  • Full-time Monday–Friday schedule, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
  • May occasionally require extended shifts, overtime, or short-notice schedule changes
  • May require on-call availability to respond to emergencies or incidents
  • Position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, and other physical activities associated with security operations
  • Must be able to read computer and smartphone screens, reports, and correspondence in English
  • Reasonable accommodations may be available for qualified individuals

GED or H.S. Equivalent
HS Diploma
