Unarmed Security Officer
Location: Johnstown, PA
Available Shift: 7am to 7pm
Schedule: TBD | Full-Time and Part-Time
Pay: $16.50 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officer to provide security services at a large, continuously operating institutional location. The officer will be responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access points, and assisting in ensuring a safe and orderly environment during extended shifts.
This position requires professionalism, strong situational awareness, and the ability to interact calmly with staff, visitors, and the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the assigned location
- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols
- Observe, report, and document suspicious activity or safety concerns
- Respond appropriately to incidents, alarms, and service requests
- Provide assistance and direction to visitors as needed
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and shift documentation
- Follow all company and client policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Previous security experience strongly preferred
- Experience in a healthcare, medical, or similar environment preferred
- Strong observation, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to remain alert and professional during 12-hour shifts
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to pass a background check
