Job Skills / Requirements
Unarmed Security Officer
Location: Naperville, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.
Pay: $18.65 per hour
Note: Union position
Requirements
- Valid Illinois PERC guard card
- 20-hour security training certificate
- Successful pre-employment drug test and background check
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age.
- Computer skills and experience with common software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write clear, detailed reports
- Customer service and conflict-de-escalation skills
- Security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience preferred
- Fire panel experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Monitor and report activities
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols
- Report suspicious activity or persons
- Complete daily activity and incident reports
- Enforce site rules, policies, and procedures
- Respond to emergencies
- Provide professional customer service
- Operate vehicles, golf carts, or bicycles if required
Candidates must maintain all required licenses and be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and function effectively as part of a team.
