Job Title: Unarmed Security Officer
Location: North Kingstown, RI
Schedule: Monday & Tuesday, 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM
Pay: $18.50/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a professional Unarmed Security Officer for a lobby/command center position. This role combines security duties with customer service and access control responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and sign in visitors and contractors
- Issue and manage employee access badges
- Monitor CCTV and retrieve footage as needed
- Control access to parking gates via intercom
- Maintain key control for facility
- Respond to incidents and security concerns
- Write clear and detailed incident and daily activity reports (DARs)
- Enforce site policies, procedures, and post orders
- Communicate with staff and management via email and phone
Additional Duties
- Conduct foot patrols as needed
- Identify and report safety hazards or suspicious activity
- Respond to emergencies in a calm and professional manner
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Customer service experience required
- Basic computer proficiency
- Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Training
Comprehensive site-specific training provided
Education Requirements (All)
HS Diploma
GED or H.S. Equivalent
Additional Information / Benefits
This is a Part-Time position 3rd Shift, Mon & Tues 9pm-5am.
Travel is not required
