Job Skills / Requirements

Job Title: Armed Response Officer

Location: Boston, MA

Pay: $20.00/hour

Schedule: On Call/Emergency Response / Open availability

Availability: Must have open availability for emergency response calls outside scheduled hours

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and responsive Response Officer to monitor, protect, and respond to incidents involving client locations and client sites. This role combines routine security duties with rapid emergency response, requiring flexibility, strong communication, and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and service calls as needed
• Monitor dispatch/command center communications and coordinate response efforts
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of assigned locations
• Perform access control and maintain a visible security presence
• Identify and report suspicious activity or security risks
• Complete detailed incident and activity reports
• Respond to emergencies (medical, fire, alarms, security threats) following established procedures
• Provide professional customer service while interacting with the public and clients

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED required
• 1–2 years of security experience preferred
• Prior military or law enforcement experience a plus
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR (required for response duties)
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Comfortable using technology and security systems
• Ability to walk/stand for extended periods (up to 8+ hours)
• Detail-oriented with strong situational awareness
• Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations
• Must have at least one verifiable employer
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
