Unarmed Security Officer – Middlesex County Floater

Location: Middlesex County, NJ (covering Edison, Dayton, and New Brunswick)

Position Type: Floater / Flex Security Officer

Schedule: Various days and shifts depending on site coverage needs

Pay Rate: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour (depending on site assignment)

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officer – Floater to provide coverage at multiple sites throughout Middlesex County, NJ, including Edison, Dayton, and New Brunswick. This position is ideal for an experienced security professional who is flexible, dependable, and comfortable working at different locations.

The ideal candidate will have prior security experience—preferably as a mobile patrol officer, flex officer, or floater—and will maintain the highest standards of professionalism and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide security coverage at multiple sites as assigned
• Maintain a highly visible and professional security presence
• Conduct patrols and monitor premises to ensure safety and security
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, or incidents
• Enforce site-specific security procedures and safety protocols
• Complete incident reports and daily activity logs
• Communicate effectively with site management, employees, and visitors

Requirements

• Active NJ SORA Guard Card License (Required)
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
• Own reliable transportation required
• Previous security experience required
• Experience as a mobile patrol officer, flex officer, or floater preferred
• Strong professional appearance and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Ability to adapt quickly to different sites and security environments
