Job Title: Armed Security Officer

Location: Pittsburgh

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday | 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and experienced Armed Security Officer to provide overnight security services in Central Pittsburgh. The ideal candidate is dependable, alert, and capable of responding effectively to incidents while maintaining a strong customer service presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols of assigned property
• Monitor for and report security threats, hazards, or unusual activity
• Respond to incidents in accordance with Post Orders and Use of Force Policy
• Complete detailed, accurate, and legible incident reports
• Enforce site-specific policies and procedures
• Provide professional customer service and maintain a visible security presence
• Follow all company policies, attendance standards, and grooming guidelines

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• 3–5 years of professional experience preferred (security, law enforcement, or military highly desired)
• Strong report-writing and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and de-escalate tense situations
• Reliable transportation required

Required Certifications & Equipment

• Current ACT 235 Certification (required)
• Level 2 retention holster or higher
• Duty belt
• Personally owned firearm
• Prior armed security experience required

Additional Requirements

• Must successfully pass background investigation and drug/alcohol screening
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on assignment
• Must meet all client and company-specific requirements
