Job Skills / Requirements

Triad Service Solutions is seeking a dependable and motivated Supervisor to supervise janitorial operations during an assigned shift at an interior shopping center. 

This is a working supervisor position. The Supervisor works alongside the custodial team performing cleaning duties while supervising the shift, directing team members, monitoring quality and productivity, supporting employee training, and assisting the Manager with daily operations. 

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who communicates effectively, takes initiative, and is comfortable providing direction while working alongside the team. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

Cleaning & Property Care 

• Perform Custodian duties and work alongside the team throughout the shift 
• Clean and maintain mall common areas, including corridors, entrances, seating areas, stairways, and other assigned spaces 
• Clean food court areas, including tables, chairs, floors, trash receptacles, and common surfaces 
• Clean and sanitize public restrooms and replenish restroom supplies 
• Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and transport waste to designated disposal areas 
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and maintain floors 
• Spot clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture 
• Clean glass, furniture, fixtures, equipment, metalwork, walls, doors, and high-touch surfaces 
• Maintain areas surrounding elevators, escalators, and stairways 
• Respond promptly to spills, trash, and other cleaning needs 
• Properly use and care for cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies 

Supervision & Team Support 

• Supervise and help coordinate janitorial activities during the assigned shift 
• Provide employees with direction, cleaning priorities, assignments, and support throughout the shift 
• Monitor employee performance, productivity, attendance, and adherence to established procedures 
• Inspect common areas and completed work to help ensure cleaning and quality standards are met 
• Identify areas requiring additional attention and direct team members accordingly 
• Train and support new hires on cleaning procedures, equipment use, safety practices, and property expectations 
• Reinforce cleaning, safety, security, quality, and customer service standards 
• Provide coaching and guidance to team members when expectations or procedures are not being met 
• Help ensure employees have the equipment and supplies needed to complete assigned work 
• Assist with responding to call-offs, coverage needs, and other shift-related staffing concerns 
• Communicate employee concerns, performance issues, staffing needs, supply needs, incidents, and property concerns to the Manager 
• Report hazards, maintenance concerns, injuries, incidents, or unsafe conditions promptly 
• Assist the Manager with daily site operations and implementation of property and company expectations 
• Help maintain a professional, organized, and productive work environment 
• Perform other duties as assigned 

Physical Requirements 

This is an active, physically demanding working-supervisor position. Employees may be required to: 

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift 
• Frequently bend, stoop, squat, reach, and perform repetitive movements 
• Push and pull cleaning carts, trash containers, and cleaning equipment 
• Lift, carry, move, and position items weighing up to 40 pounds 
• Use hands and arms to operate cleaning tools and equipment 
• Navigate stairs and varying floor or walking surfaces 
• Perform cleaning and supervisory duties requiring frequent movement throughout the property 

Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. 

Qualifications 

• Previous janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred 
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred 
• Ability to supervise, train, guide, and support employees
