The HR Generalist works closely with HR personnel to ensure employee files and records are maintained and organized and handle, manage all personnel concerns. They are first line of contact for employee concerns.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
 

  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, and licensure
  • Collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for open positions and onboarding
  • Conducts background and eligibility verifications
  • Conducts contractually mandated random/annual background, DMV, drug and alcohol screens
  • Works with partnered clients to ensure we meet all contractual requirements
  • Perform investigations into employee concerns within the workplace
  • Provides guidance to account managers, project managers, security coordinators and/or operations support specialists
  • Handles employment-related inquires for applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to appropriate staff
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Works with training department on implementing orientations and employee recognition programs 
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices
  • Conducts audits on personnel files and required forms
  • Assist in development and implementation of company policies
  • Audit on compliance; client, state and federal requirements
