Essential Duties and Responsibilities
First Coast Security has a wide array of employment opportunities for Professional trained and licensed FPS Certified PSOs. Full-Time and Part-Time positions are available for qualified candidates who are looking for a career in the security industry.
Some of the duties include, but are not limited to: access control, providing escorts, facility patrols, detainments of individuals, assisting employees & visitors, following the Post Orders & regulations of the National PSO Lesson Plan (NPSOLP), responding to alarms, securing the facility, report writing, and responding to various emergencies- to include those which might be life threatening, and adhering to the guidelines presented within the Statement(s) of Work.
Training Requirements:
FPS Basic training
16hr NWDTP Exhibit
DHS 8 Hour Orientation
FPS Initial Weapons training
State Required License/Permit
Baton and OC Spray Certification
Tri-Annual Refresher - if your basic training is 3+ years old
First Aid/CPR/AED certifications - by American Red Cross or American Heart Association ONLY.
In addition to the certifications required by the FPS, the candidate must have any certifications that are mandated according to the state/jurisdiction in which they will be working.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be US citizens
Applicants must be able to obtain FPS suitability/clearance.
Applicants must have a High School Diploma
Applicants must have a Valid Driver’s License and Social Security card

Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift, run as needed. Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties. Frequent moving and/or lifting
