Alliance Building Services is a leading and dynamic provider of premier facilities-related services to landmark stadiums, arenas and commercial properties in the New York metropolitan area. We are seeking a self-motivated, reliable and experienced Payroll Administrator


The ideal candidate will possess two to four years of experience in dealing with high volume payrolls in both union and non-union environments. In addition to being well organized, you must have a keen sense of detail, ability to handle and meet tight deadlines. Advanced knowledge using third party payroll provider software is a must. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is also required.


Responsibilities:

  • Payroll entries for union labor on a weekly basis
  • Performs daily payroll functions. Manages workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Interact with Operations staff and Scheduling Manager to verify overtime hours, absences, etc.
  • Processes special payrolls including but not limited to holidays, vacation and paid time off, bonus, year-end payouts, and union or merit increases
  • Ensures all entitlements (vacation, paid time off days) are paid in accordance with Union agreements
  • Generates monthly reports tracking employee entitlement information (accrued, used, balance)
  • Prepares and analyzes weekly/monthly reports; analyzes/identifies issues and takes action to resolve variances
  • Verifies and approves payroll change notices relative to changes of wage rate, primary job site, or position change
  • Researches and resolves questions from the Management and Employee Service Center related to processing of payroll information such as vacation time and PTO; payroll discrepancies
  • Process manual check requests as needed, (e.g., discrepancies, terminations)



Requirements:


  • Two to four (2-4) years’ proven experience with high volume payroll processing
  • Ability to prioritize tasks ensuring all payroll deadlines are met
  • Computer proficiency with Excel and MS Office
  • Advanced knowledge of third-party payroll software (ADP, PayPro, PayChex, etc.);
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other departments to prevent or resolve payroll issues

Salary: $60,000-$65,000

Schedule: M- F 8:30 AM- 5:30 PM
