About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll and maintaining employee timekeeping and entitlement data. You will collaborate closely with operations, scheduling, and HR to uphold payroll compliance and address employee inquiries.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll accurately and on time using WinTeam
  • Review, verify, and reconcile employee timekeeping data and schedules
  • Monitor overtime, absences, vacation, and PTO in line with union agreements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries and discrepancy resolution
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports, adjustments, and special payroll runs (bonuses, holidays, year-end payouts)
  • Maintain detailed payroll records and assist with audits or special projects

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with high-volume, weekly payroll processing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with payroll systems such as WinTeam, ADP, Kronos, Valiant, or Ascentis
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of union contracts (32 BJ; N.U.S.O.G) and labor law related to payroll a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree
  • Prior experience working with payroll software and timekeeping systems
  • Ability to manage confidential data with integrity


Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Hourly Rate: $26.00-$28.00
