Job Skills / Requirements

As a Security Operations Center Operator, or SOC Operator, you monitor a variety of technologies including access control, video surveillance, and alarm systems to provide security service and threat elimination for industrial, business, or residential customers. Being that this is a hybrid role, you will also assume duties as a security officer in the Summit.

Salary: $20 an Hour
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 12AM to 8AM, 16 HPW


Key Responsibilities

1.    Ensure the safety and well-being of the property, employees, vendors, contractors, and guests
2.    Screen and monitor guest entry per site procedures related to prohibited items
3.    Make necessary reports including detailed descriptions of people and incidents
4.    Display professionalism in resolving complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer to management
5.    Perform other job-related duties as requested

Skills and Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • The ideal candidate will have 3 months minimum of stable security experience, along with a high level of computer skills.
  • Valid NYS Security Guard License
  • Must be compliant with NYS Vaccination Mandate
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of modern safety and security procedures and methods applicable to high-traffic buildings accessible to the public;
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and perform well under pressure;
  • Must be able to work independently and exhibit initiative to solve problems, including tracking situations until an appropriate resolution is achieved;
  • Ability to follow direction and to be a team player;
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays;
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time;
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

Certification Requirements (All)

NYS Security Guard License

This job reports to the Security Operations

This is a Part-Time position 3rd Shift, Weekends.
