Job Skills / Requirements
We are currently looking to fill the position of; Service Technician to perform the rapid repair of security technologies which encompasses both small and large-scale integrated security systems at client facilities in the NYC region.
The applicant will need to manage multiple projects and other duties to support organizational initiatives; including but not limited to:
- Responsible for managing assigned service and repair issues
- Test, adjust and troubleshoot security systems and related equipment/hardware.
- Ability to test and troubleshoot continuity issues.
- Handle work orders and perform service planning activities.
- Make recommendations for security system enhancements.
- Act as liaison between client, Service Coordinator and Department Head
- Assist installation department as needed.
- Successful track record of supervising successful life-cycle management of security technology repairs and projects
- Stays current with technological developments related to security technologies in addition to; computer hardware, software, and networks, as well as management practices.
- Attends conferences and workshops to build proficiency in security and networking technologies.
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
- Serve in a management capacity when the Manager of Service & Maintenance Services is not available.
Qualifications:
- Technical degree preferred.
- Minimum of (5) years’ experience in in the security technology industry.
- Strong knowledge of security concepts and technology platforms; Video, Access Control, Intercom, Intrusion, Visitor Management, turnstiles and network devices.
- Successfully complete certification training; Genetec, AMAG, S2, Exacq, Brivo, Salient.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Strong fundamentals of networking technologies and Information Technology Principles.
- Experience with large-scale integrated security systems and complex projects.
- Demonstrate experience in the application of IT/security solutions/techniques in a commercial environment.
- Possess a high level of self-motivation and the ability to work with a high level of initiative with limited supervision in high pressure situations.
- Strong team player who can communicate, motivate and interact effectively with technical, commercial and clerical team-members.

Additional Information / Benefits
Pay Rate: $29-$35/hr contingent on experience
This is a Full-Time position 1st Shift.
