BTI Security is seeking a spirited Director of Operations to oversee Contract Managers and Site Supervisors to ensure the highest levels of client satisfaction and Security Professional performance. To be successful in this role you will achieve goals and objectives, ensure the highest level of security officer quality, provide excellent customer service to our clients, build, and retain profitable business growth, inspire staff to five their all, and expand and strengthen the company’s footprint and reputation.  The Director of Operations will encourage an engaged senior management team and guard our values, analyze data and metrics to evaluate staff performance, and lead and encourage employees to maximize performance. Ideal candidates are ambitious and performance-oriented with exceptional people skills.

Job Skills / Requirements

  • Set the example as a leader with a management style that encourages participation and ownership by all, along with a continuous focus on execution, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and financial management.
  • Motivate and lead high performance work teams with a focus on developing and mentoring contract leadership.
  •  Serve as direct Supervisor to all staff and respond on a 24-hour, 7-day basis to significant unusual occurrences, via email, text, phone or in person if required.
  • Oversees Contract Managers ensuring adherence to key performance objectives to meet and exceed company, stakeholders, and requirements in accordance with the contract Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Must be available during normal working hours (8:00 am to 4:30 pm local time) and within thirty (30) minutes by telephone or in person to discuss deficiencies; after normal duty hours or on weekends and holidays, within two (2) hours.
  • Executes strategies to optimize company growth.
  • Drives employees and assesses performance, to ensure an engaged and skilled workforce.
  • Collaborates with leadership to build an environment of collective responsibility and accountability.
  •  Assists in daily data entry in support of contract operations, primarily focused on payroll and compliance.
  • Responsible for providing timely and accurate operations reports daily, weekly, and monthly for to be used for operational and staffing management.
  • Oversees resources and equipment assigned to each contract to include but not limited to weapons, ammunition, vehicles, communication equipment, and hardware.
  • Collaborates with Recuriting and Human Resources in coordinating the onboarding of new hire personnel to include site interviews, on-the-job training, and personnel performance reviews.
  • Forecasts training needs to include but not limited to on-the-job training and refresher courses so that resources may be allocated accordingly.
  • Actively involved in reviewing and writing disciplinary action reports for all infractions that are stated by the BTI Employee Handbook.
  • Ensure that all assigned personnel follow the corporate policies and handbook.
  • Developing and implementing new and revised systems, process development and operating procedures.
  • Represent the company with clients and subcontractors as an active participant in business development and growth opportunities.
  • Must be able to communicate ideas effectively to the company, to the other parties involved in the contract and to stakeholders to keep everyone appraised of contract-related matters. 
  •  Receives instruction and guidance from the Vice President of Operations.
  •  Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time, with or without notice.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of specialized experience which includes:

  • Project development and implementation from inspection to deployment 
  • Expertise in management and control of funds and resources using complete reporting mechanisms
  •  Demonstrate capability in managing multi-task contracts or subcontracted for various types and complexity

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in any field of study or have substantial and verifiable law enforcement, military or business management experience, which demonstrates individual’s capacity to effectively manage a security force
  • Proven ability to manage budgets in a similar role
