Job Skills / Requirements

IPSC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Training Assistant in the HR Department to manage and enhance our company’s training programs. This role reports to the Training Manager and will be responsible for developing and organizing training content, overseeing our Learning Management System (LMS), and ensuring compliance with state-funded training programs. The ideal candidate will also monitor payroll time exceptions related to training and ensure employees’ training time is accurately recorded.


Pay Rate: $15/hour, paid weekly!

-We now have Daily Pay, where you can easily access your daily earnings on demand!

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm

-Possibility for overtime during storm season.


Key Responsibilities:

 LMS & Training Content Management:

  • Develop and write training content to support company learning initiatives.
  • Organize and maintain existing training materials for accessibility and effectiveness.
  • Manage the LMS system, including user administration, course uploads, activity tracking, and training path development.
  • Act as the system administrator for the company’s training platform, troubleshooting issues and optimizing system use.

State-Funded Training & Compliance:

  • Manage the Incumbent Worker Training Program across all 50 states, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Research, apply for, and oversee participation in state-funded training programs for both new hires and existing employees.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for grant-funded training programs.

Training Time & Payroll Monitoring:

  • Monitor payroll time and exceptions related to training activities, ensuring proper tracking of employees punching in and out for training.
  • Work closely with payroll and HR to correct discrepancies and maintain accurate training time records.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in training administration, content design and management, or LMS management.
  •  Experience with state-funded training programs or workforce development initiatives is a plus. 
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in LMS platforms (e.g., Cornerstone, Workday Learning, Moodle, etc.) 
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Key Competencies:
     Excellent organizational and project management skills 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in compliance tracking.
  •  Ability to research and apply for government-funded training programs.
  •  Effective communication and collaboration with HR, payroll, and training teams
