Job Skills / Requirements
• Maintaining and securing weapons used on the job
• Patrolling a location to assess for threats and ensure safety
• Securing entrances to buildings or designated outdoor areas
• Protecting general groups of people or certain individuals from attacks, harassment and other unwanted treatment
• Responding quickly to emergencies or threats
• Engaging with offenders who try to breach a secured area or harm another person
• Be able to descale situations
• Documenting incidents in security logs or reports
• Ability to stay calm under duress
• Fast and effective decision-making skills
• Understanding of laws, regulations and safety procedures
• Ability to handle and maintain weapons
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and investigative skills
• Commitment to upholding the law and protecting others
