PDS Optical is seeking a Production Supervisor to fill a vacancy in our Finish Department!
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising the Finish Department within the optical lab to ensure proper and efficient workflow through production.
This is a 2nd Shift position with the core hours of 4:30pm to 1:00am, Monday through Friday.
Must have at least 1 year experience in the Optical field and have complete knowledge of the production area including machinery, equipment, processes, safety, etc. for which you are supervising.
Salary will be based on relevant experience.

Essential Functions:
• Must have leadership qualities in order to directly supervise employees.
• Carries our supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws as well as setting a standard of conduct through examples and actions.
• Must be able ensure smooth workflow, monitor progress and resolve routine problems for all department employees
• Maintain knowledge of company policies and be the first point of contact for department employees with basic questions.
• Supervise Attendance within Department including PTO, Call ins, Points, etc.
• Supervisor works directly with their Manager and will assist with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems, scheduling or approving paid time off as needed

Work Environment:
This position is located in our Optical Laboratory and operates in a production/manufacturing type setting. The temperature can sometimes be warm and the noise level can be somewhat loud. This position requires supervising and working in close proximity to a diverse group of other co-workers.#JT
