Pay for this position ranges from $11.00 to $13.25 per hour, depending on site assignment and position.
As a Security Officer with DSI, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and clients. Responsibilities include observing, correcting, and reporting hazards, following DSI and client requirements (including post-specific instructions), and participating in training to become familiar with general safety procedures and DSI’s safety manual. Professional interaction with clients, visitors, employees, and the public is expected at all times. This position also requires routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and the ability to work in all weather conditions.
This role requires individuals who are dependable, customer service–oriented, and capable of effective written and oral communication. Basic to intermediate computer skills are also necessary.
Pre-employment requirements:
- Unarmed Security Officers must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred.
- All applicants must have reliable transportation and communication and be able to successfully pass background checks and drug screenings.
