Position Summary
As the Environmental Services Manager, you will represent ServiceMaster ECS in overseeing all environmental services operations at the hospital and adjoining Medical Office Buildings (MOBs). You’ll be responsible for managing staff, implementing training and quality assurance programs, performing EVS duties when needed, and ensuring compliance with both our company’s standards and the hospital’s expectations. This role requires professionalism, initiative, and a commitment to excellence in service delivery.
Education & Training Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience (required)
- College degree (preferred)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of environmental services procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including interviewing and hiring
- Effective oral and written communication
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to motivate and lead teams toward shared goals
- Skilled in planning and workflow management
- Independent judgment and initiative
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication
- Ability to maintain clear and professional communication with hospital leadership and ServiceMaster ECS management

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee shift-specific operations
- Interview, hire, and onboard Environmental Services staff
- Perform EVS duties as needed to support team and uphold standards
- Evaluate performance and provide training and corrective actions
- Conduct in-service training on safety, infection prevention, and departmental policies
- Implement new or revised programs and services
- Maintain strong communication with hospital leadership and ServiceMaster ECS leadership
- Provide operational support and problem-solving
Physical Requirements
- Activities may include: climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion
- Must possess good balance and coordination
- Capable of medium-to-heavy work: exerting up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Requires close visual acuity for tasks such as data analysis, transcription, and computer use
- May require visual acuity for inspecting facilities and ensuring work accuracy

- Daily interaction with ServiceMaster ECS staff, supervisors, and support teams
External Contacts
- Regular contact with hospital physicians, patients, and visitors
