Job Skills / Requirements
Responsible for the management and direction of security personnel and activities designed to protect and preserve corporate assets and personnel in a manner consistent with our policies, standards and procedures as well as mandated federal, state and municipal regulations.
Create work schedule for assigned officers assigned to the shift; ensure all payroll records are accurate and are submitted to the account manager in a timely manner.
Ensure all personnel sign in and out for duty, are at their assigned posts and meet SecurAmerica’s appearance, uniform and demeanor standards.
Provide mentorship and coaching for SecurAmerica Security Officers.
Ensure all officers are fully trained on their assigned post duties; conduct initial, periodic, specialized and annual officer training as outlined by the requirements of the customer and according to SecurAmerica’s training protocols and standards.
Audit security officer performance, appearance and conduct to ensure all officers are at their posts, are fit for duty, are equipped with the tools they need and are adhering to client policies and procedures.
Manage and take ownership of the performance of the officers for whom the supervisor is responsible, including the conducting of regular performance reviews and taking disciplinary action against officers who violate SecurAmerica and/or client performance standards.
Conduct and submit monthly grading of all shift officers in accordance with SecurAmerica’s 110% Club scoring guidelines.
Serve as the initial escalation point for SecurAmerica associates and client representatives.
Provide another level of visible security presence, including the requirement to conduct detailed patrols of the property to supplement the security staff; in doing so, help deter and deflect criminal activity.
Investigate and respond to emergencies and calls for assistance.
Prepare and submit written reports to SecurAmerica and the client; review shift logs and reports for neatness and accuracy.
Implement and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Provide break relief for shift officers.
Automotive Experience Perferred
Bachelor´s degree in Criminal Justice or Business Administration, or equivalent work related experience perferred
Minimum five years of Security experience, with a proven track record as an operator
Minimum three years of experience in a leadership/mid-management position
Military/Law Enforcement background strongly preferred
Must have working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures
State of Michigan driver’s license required (no more than one moving violation in past 24-months)
Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written with staff and the public
S.A. Citizen, or valid work authorization credentials
Ability to pass Drug and criminal Background screening (ineligible with felony background/active warrant)
Pass annual driver’s test, and driver’s record review
Be certified or be able to complete First Aid/CPR/AED training
Ability to walk, speak, sit, smell and stand
Correctable hearing and sight to normal limits
Ability to grasp writing instruments, tools, controls, radio, cell phone, other equipment
Occasional lifting of office supplies and other materials associated with position
Requirements will vary; must be able to perform the essential duties of position
