Job Skills / Requirements

TriCorps Security is hiring professional and motivated Armed and Unarmed Security Officers (LEO) in Mingo Junction, Ohio.

IMPORTANT: Applicants must be either an active law enforcement officer or a retired law enforcement officer to be eligible for this position. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

Applicants must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to provide exceptional service in a secure and customer-focused environment.

As a TriCorps officer, you will be responsible for protecting people, property, and assets through vigilant patrol, access control, and incident response. Officers play a key role in maintaining safety and order while representing TriCorps and our clients with professionalism and courtesy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to buildings, ensuring only authorized entry.
• Patrol designated areas on foot to maintain visibility and deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms, service calls, and incidents as needed.
• Protect employees, visitors, and property through consistent observation and awareness.
• Write accurate daily activity and incident reports in a timely manner.
• Greet and assist employees, guests, and vendors with professionalism and courtesy.
• Answer phone calls and provide information or assistance as appropriate.
• Contact emergency services, including law enforcement or the fire department, during critical situations.
• Escort personnel to and from facilities when required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a currently active or retired law enforcement officer.
• Prior law enforcement service is a mandatory requirement for this position.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, sound judgment, and strong situational awareness.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to remain calm and make appropriate decisions during stressful or emergency situations.

• Stay alert and observant throughout each shift to ensure proactive awareness of surroundings.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with employees, visitors, clients, and emergency personnel.

• Uphold TriCorps’ standards of integrity, reliability, professionalism, and service excellence.

Licensing, Background, and Training Requirements

• A valid Ohio Security License must be held and will be provided at the time of hire.
• A BCI and FBI background check must be submitted to the Ohio PISGS.
• HAZWOPER 40-hour online training must be completed prior to working. Testing requirements will be explained at the time of hire.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Positions are available in Mingo Junction, Ohio.
• Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
