Stathakis is seeking a dependable Site Supervisor for a full-time, on-site position in Jonesville, MI. This role is ideal for someone who values cleanliness, consistency, safety, and teamwork, and who takes pride in leading efforts to maintain a clean, organized, and production-ready environment. The supervisor will oversee daily cleaning operations, ensure quality standards are met, and support a team in maintaining a safe and welcoming facility. The position is Monday-Friday from 2pm-10:30pm and rotating weekends when required. The pay rate for this position is $18.00-$20.00 per hour.

Position Summary:

The Janitorial Site Supervisor oversees all cleaning and sanitation operations within an automotive manufacturing plant. This role ensures the facility maintains strict cleanliness, safety, and production-support standards in a fast-paced, high-volume industrial environment. The supervisor leads a team of janitorial staff, coordinates daily operations, and ensures compliance with OSHA requirements and automotive industry expectations, including support for lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train, and schedule janitorial staff across multiple shifts to support 24/7 automotive production operations
• Ensure cleanliness of production floors, assembly lines, robotic work cells, paint areas (as applicable), warehouses, restrooms, locker rooms, and office spaces
• Develop and enforce cleaning procedures aligned with automotive manufacturing standards, including 5S and lean practices
• Monitor and maintain cleaning around critical equipment to prevent contamination, debris buildup, and safety hazards
• Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations, plant standards, and quality expectations
• Manage inventory of cleaning chemicals, PPE, and equipment; ensure proper storage and usage per SDS guidelines
• Respond quickly to spills, leaks (oil, coolant, lubricants), and other production-related cleaning emergencies
• Coordinate deep cleaning during planned shutdowns, maintenance windows, and model changeovers
• Maintain documentation for inspections, incident reports, staff attendance, and supply usage
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and safety teams to support operational efficiency and workplace safety
• Enforce adherence to PPE requirements and safe work practices at all times
• Coach, mentor, and evaluate staff performance; implement corrective actions when needed

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of janitorial or facilities experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role in an industrial or automotive environment
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard communication, and safe chemical handling
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Comfortable working in environments with noise, heavy machinery, moving equipment, and varying temperatures
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, steel-toe boots/shoes, and hearing protection
