WED – SUN 12:00am-8:15am
FRI – MON 11:00pm-8:00am
The Youth Care Worker (YCW) is responsible for providing a safe, comfortable and teaching environment to the youth we serve as we are committed to their personal success. The YCW assists our youth in the treatment programs, including residential activities. The YCW will monitor and interact with the youth during meals, while they do their chores and homework, and during free time and at bedtime. The YCW will also maintain accurate records and attend trainings and staff meetings as required. Uspiritus is the only organization in Kentucky to use the Boys Town's Psychoeducational Treatment Model. No experience required! Youth Care Workers go through an extensive two week training before they would ever hit the floor. We will give you the tools and strategies you need to be successful.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree and experience in working with adolescents preferred.
The applicant must have the following abilities: To work as a team member; perform basic writing, communications, and computer skills; function as a group leader and role model in relation to troubled youth; respond appropriately to the emotional and physical needs of adolescents within a structured group setting
Starting base rate $12.50/hr. Additional pay possible depending on education, experience, and veteran status.
High School Diploma/GED
