Job Skills / Requirements

Sunstates Security is currently hiring a National Account Trainer for a high-profile client which will be based out of our Portland, OR, region. The National Account Trainer will work with the local regional operations team to provide necessary training and instruction to internal employees. This role will work to maximize training and education opportunities and will ensure training is impactful at the service level. The National Account Trainer plans, schedules, coordinates and presents training, generally already developed for basic training, retraining and purchaser-specified skills.
 
This is a full-time weekday position with a starting salary of $70,0000 – paid weekly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
 
 
  • Develop training schedule to address all levels of training required by Service Level Agreements, or by Purchaser standards, and prepare a monthly/quarterly calendar to schedule these support training activities with Loss Prevention and Account Managers or Site Supervisors. 
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and present basic and specialized training based on monthly/quarterly training calendar or as requested by Purchaser.
  • Coordinate training presentations to provide the most cost-effective and efficient use of training time and facilities. 
  • In-person training to be conducted off-site. 
  • Provide information briefings and training sessions in response to client or account manager requests. 
  • Reviews, inputs and/or coordinates input of OJT into performance tracking. 
  • Maintain a structured review and reporting system to monitor basic account management functions related to OJT, re-training, specialized training, emergency response training, supervisor qualifications and account audits.
  • Advise executives, clients, Account Managers, and supervisors of the implementation of training policies, procedures, and processes. 
  • Ensure compliance with training, scheduling, and audits based on contract requirements. 
  • Support recruiting activities within the district and complete the hiring process when required or assigned. 
  • Maintain technical proficiency in assigned area by reviewing policies and procedures and applying those procedures to all assigned district office activities. 
  • Obtain and maintain instructor certification in CPR/First Aid, AED, etc., as assigned or required. 
  • Keep records and prepare accurate and timely reports both manually and through automated methods. 
  • Work with all levels in the organization to identify, analyze and solve problems and create opportunities for continuous improvement. 
  • Assist with operations, training, and administrative functions on an as needed basis. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information and data. 
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLSETS DESIRED

  • Classroom Instructor training experience and/or equivalent combination of education and technical work experience. 
  • Previous experience in the security field or in law enforcement is preferred. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including expert knowledge of PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • People-orientated personality with great customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining great attention to detail. Sun123

Associates Degree
Bachelor's Degree from 4 year college/university
