Job Title: Unarmed Security Officer

Location: Suffolk, VA

Employment Type: Full-Time / Open Availability Required

Position Summary: We are seeking reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officers to join our team in Suffolk, Virginia. Candidates must have fully open availability and demonstrate strong technology skills, excellent customer service, and prior supervisory experience. This role is critical in maintaining a safe and secure environment while providing outstanding service to clients, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of property, personnel, and visitors
• Control access points and verify identification as required
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms
• Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs using electronic systems
• Utilize security technology such as surveillance systems, access control, and reporting software
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing concerns professionally
• Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a visible presence
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients
• Support and lead team operations when needed, demonstrating strong supervisory skills

Qualifications:

• Must have fully open availability (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
• Previous security experience preferred
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience required
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Technology competency (experience with computers, mobile devices, and security systems)
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Requirements:

• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Must meet all state licensing requirements for unarmed security officers in Virginia
• Reliable transportation to and from work

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments
• Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations
