(OSS) is a regionally recognized contract security service firm the provides the highest customized security programs to Corporate Headquarters, Industrial and Distribution Centers, Multi-tenant Properties, Medical Centers, Special Improvement Districts and Educational Institutions.

The University District is comprised of restaurants, retail stores, businesses, residential buildings, and nightclubs and other entertainment.
What Stewards do:
The role of the Steward is very broad. Essentially, Stewards work to make the district inviting through cleaning, safety, public relations, and outreach services. Duties include maintaining the cleanliness of the district, removing graffiti, completing tasks to make the area more aesthetically pleasing, assisting and welcoming visitors, providing safety and security patrols, coordinating with Columbus Police Department, and assisting persons in need to find social services that would benefit them.
Skills and Ability Requirements:
Stewards perform as part of a team and certainly be a people person. They must be able to relate well to people of diverse backgrounds. They should have an outgoing personality and a desire to help people with directions, suggestions, or information about the University District.
Stewards will possess the desire to work to enhance the district aesthetics and create a welcoming atmosphere.
All Steward work is conducted outdoors in all weather elements.
Stewards conduct litter control. They pick up trash and empty trash cans when they are full.
The position can be somewhat physical. Stewards must be able to lift 45 pounds unassisted. Also, Stewards spend most of their time walking or standing.
Stewards will operate a UTV and a variety of power equipment such as lawn mowers and trimmers, gas powered pressure washers and water pumps, etc.
Stewards may water plant beds and do some mowing and trimming.
Stewards remove graffiti and other signs through a variety of techniques such as chemicals, pressure washing, painting, and scraping.
Stewards provide a safety presence and observe and report illegal behavior. They also establish a security presence through security patrols throughout the district.

Valid Driver's License
This job reports to the Operations Department
This is a Full-Time position 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, Weekends.
Relocation is not provided and travel is not required
