About the Role

We’re looking for professional and motivated Armed Security Officers to join our team. This uniformed position plays a key role in maintaining safety, protecting client assets, and delivering outstanding service while representing PPC’s values on every shift.


Assignments may include patrol operations, access control, facility security, special events, and other specialty operations. Whether you're bringing previous experience or building your career in the security industry, PPC provides the structure, training, and support to help you succeed.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors.
  • Conduct patrols and monitor access points as directed.
  • Perform access control duties, verifying credentials and maintaining authorized entry.
  • Deter theft, vandalism, and suspicious activity through a visible, professional presence.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations calmly and effectively.
  • Communicate and coordinate with site personnel, emergency responders, or law enforcement when needed.
  • Follow established post orders and company protocols for each assigned site.
  • Document observations and incidents clearly and accurately.
  • Maintain issued gear and uniforms in a professional condition.

What You Bring

  • Genuine interest in the security profession and commitment to PPC’s values.
  • Ability to obtain Washington and Oregon Armed Security Licenses (both required for assignment eligibility).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Verifiable employment history.
  • Clean background — no felonies or disqualifying misdemeanors.
  • At least 21 years of age (minimum for armed licensing).
  • Driving positions require candidates to be at least 25 years old with a clean driving record and valid Driver’s License.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and background screening.
  • Strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Outlook, report systems).
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and physically restrain individuals when necessary.
  • Previous military, law enforcement, corrections, or security experience is a plus.
  • Current or former military members are encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Advancement

  • Wage: $21–$25 per hour (DOE), upon obtaining armed status.
