The Database and Development Associate (DDA) plays an essential role in on the Advancement Team and in advancing the mission of CCL. The DDA will assist and support fundraising operations at CCL through database management (Little Green Light), gift processing and acknowledgment, reporting, reconciling donations and working collaboratively with CCL development and programs staff on appeals, segmented donor initiatives and fundraising events.

SALARY: $40,000 - $45,000/annual

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS: 
 
1.       Process donations, manage and maintain CCL donor database (LGL) with timely and accurate data. Responsible for running fundraising reports regularly to be analyzed for fundraising strategies and move donors along the giving continuum.
2.       Acknowledge and track all monetary gifts, in-kind donations and volunteer hours; Prepare and send yearly tax statements.
3.       Assist in stewardship and execution of touchpoints throughout the year. Coordinates and implements donor acknowledgements schedule.
4.       Coordinate lists, track data, and provide support for all appeals, mailings, and other special projects.
5.       Manage the administration of monthly giving club and other giving levels. Segment and manage communications with donor affinity groups.
6.       Reconcile monetary donations in collaboration with the finance team and office manager on a regular basis.
7.       Research new opportunities for prospective corporate, foundation and individual donors.
8.       Provide logistical, administrative and data support for fundraising events and donor appreciation events; Management of OneCause (fundraising software)
9.       Work closely with Director of Development, Director of Marketing Communications, CCL Office Manager, finance and Chief Advancement Officer
Other Duties as assigned.

Education Requirements (Any)

Bachelors or Associates degree or 2 years of college with related experience

Additional Information / Benefits

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in administrative role and working with a CRM, preferably Little Green Light or similar.
  • Associates or bachelor's degree in marketing, fundraising, business administration or related field preferred; High school diploma and 2 years proven experience required.
  • Experience with event fundraising software OneCause or similar software a plus
  • Proficient in all Microsoft products and database management. 
SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: 
  • Requires a spirit of welcome, as role is infrequently the first point of contact for donors, corporate partners and benefitting constituents. 
  • Experience in a high functioning advancement or fundraising department of a sizable nonprofit org is essential.  
  • Possess interest and experience in working on capital and annual campaigns.  This would entail an affinity for and a demonstrative knowledge of fundraising with an emphasis on programs related to advocacy, capacity building and community services for those in need. Successful track record as a supporting role in fundraising and marketing efforts a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task, respond appropriately to deadlines, provide great attention to detail, and be able to produce quality results.  
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to work well with limited supervision, organize, problem solve and prioritize work independently.
  • Ability to present information concisely and effectively, verbally and written.
