Job Skills / Requirements

Role:

To limit the bank's credit and repayment risk thru measuring and analyzing cash flow for new, renewal and portfolio loan requests. Keeping management informed of deteriorating financial profits of borrowers and/or lenders practices, financial trends and compliance problems. Managing the credit risk profiles for the entire organization.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Evaluates loans for credit risk according to predetermined factors, such as geographical location, type, and amount of loan; records data on work sheet, including purpose of loan, balance, and repayment terms; assigns risk rating, indicating borrower's financial strength and probability of loan repayment.


Written evaluation of information to determine whether the request is within policy, if loan is in compliance with banking regulations, and if required documents have been obtained.


Identifies potential problem loans and describes deficiencies; writes summary of analysis and reasons for assigning adverse risk ratings; presents loan review information and report to management.


Assist lenders by analyzing financial data and communicate financial facts, interpretations, and projections verbally and in writing. Reminding lenders of missing financial documentation to complete spreads.


Performs the initial and ongoing credit analysis to determine if the customers credit request satisfies bank policies and procedure guidelines.


Assists in regulatory, external/internal audit, TDR calculations, 310 calculations, and interdepartmental needs.


Performs other job related duties as assigned.


Employees must be able to pass the following pre screening:

Credit Screening – The credit screening includes a credit history check, financial fitness check, and other non-specified criteria to confirm eligibility for a position. 

 

Background Screening - The background screening process includes a review of all federal and state civil and criminal charges for all locations you have lived at within the last seven years.

 

Drug Testing – The drug test will be a urine test. We check for a number of substances including Marijuana.

 

Employment and Education - The bank may also investigate the employment and education background of an employee. We reserve the right to deny or terminate employment based on the results of that review. 

Education Requirements (All)

High School Diploma or GED required. College degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a trade school.
