Job Skills / Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:
To provide leadership to the divisional function as it reflects the company's mission and philosophy in an effort to ensure that the strategic direction is established and is utilized to manage all aspects of business operations
To effectively manage a major profit center with the primary objective of developing and managing a sales, construction and service warranty organization that sells, builds and services homes in a profitable fashion with satisfied customers.
To ensures that an adequate land supply of available homesites is secured for ongoing homebuilding operations in conjunction with Grand Communities and outside developers.
To ensure Associates are recruited, hired, trained and compensated in a manner that is consistent with company policy.
To remain informed of market conditions and trends, including the competitions activity, the economic environment, marketing and product trends and pending legislation or regulation with the objective of positioning our product offering and locations for optimum profitability.
To communicate the division's needs by working with the Sales Manager and the Marketing Department and oversee the development and implementation of new product sales collateral, model home decoration, advertising promotion, community presentation to prospects (feels good when they're there), and sales process.
To ensure the availability of an adequate trade partner base by working with the Construction Manager and Purchasing Department to jointly hire trade partners who meet all Fischer Homes' standards for quality of workmanship, insurance coverage, reliability, and cost.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a strong self-starter with a high level of drive and functions best with a broadly defined position and goals.

Must have strong leadership and people management skills.
Must have exceptional work ethic.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must have strong negotiating ability.
Must have the ability to make sure the details of the operational division are handled properly and efficiently.
Bachelors Degree and five years minimum experience in a responsible home building management position required.
