Job Skills / Requirements
Job Summary:
Provides appropriate age specific and culturally oriented patient care to population served. Consults with physicians and evaluates appropriate clinical conditions; performs re-evaluations of patients as needed. Interprets physician referrals for treatment; develops treatment plan for short and long-term goals. Participates in patient conferences and consultations with physicians and other members of the allied health team. Prepares monthly medical information statistics, quality improvement statistics, and other results as directed. Uses equipment required for implementing patient care. Assesses learning needs of patients/families; Plans, presents, evaluates, and documents patient/family education provided in Rehab Services
Required Education, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- Must hold an active license for the state of Kentucky in Physical Therapy
- Must provide copy of diploma or transcripts
- Must be thoroughly familiar with the clinical aspects of therapy as well as have some experience in supervision and department management
- At least one year of previous clinical experience is preferred
- BLS certification (within 3 months of hire)
- Excellent customer service skills
- At least one (1) year of previous clinical experience required
