Job Summary:
The Clinical Informatics Director will be a pivotal leader in driving the integration and effective use of clinical information systems throughout the hospital. This role is essential for enhancing patient care, optimizing clinical workflows, and ensuring seamless communication between healthcare providers. We are currently running on Meditech Expanse. The Clinical Informatics Director will play a lead role in developing training, educating staff across all levels of the organization, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. This roll will have responsibility for the Clinical Informatics team, administrative and payroll management as well as development of team members. This role requires knowledge and understanding of both clinical and information technology. The Director will have responsibility for the overall operations of the department, to include financial performance, service quality, project outcomes, quality improvement, employee satisfaction.

Required Educations, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Registered Nurse in the State of Kentucky preferred
- 2 years’ experience in clinical informatics required
- 2 years leadership experience
- Experienced in clinical systems implementations and support including system configuration, custom development, maintenance, and software upgrades.
- Knowledge of clinical best practices, operations, policies, procedures, workflows, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical aptitude.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge/Experience with MEDITECH EMR is preferred
- Must be proficient and have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
