Job Skills / Requirements

Job Summary:

To implement, maintain, support, and maximize the use of clinical, operational, financial, and/or administrative portions of the Harrison Memorial Hospital information systems. This position will work with clinical, operational, financial, and/or administrative areas across the network. The individual will be responsible for maintaining current clinical, and/or administrative applications, implementing new clinical and administrative applications and assisting in process re-engineering to achieve efficiencies in departmental operations, assisting in development of documentation, maintaining a level of knowledge about IS operations and network issues, and maintaining current industry knowledge. The individual will also be responsible for training providers on the proper use of the EMR.

 

Required Educations, Skills, and/or Abilities:

  • Associates Degree or 2 years’ equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years’ experience in healthcare required.
  • Experienced in clinical systems implementations and support including system configuration, custom development, maintenance, and software upgrades.
  • In depth knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of clinical and operational workflows in healthcare is critical.
  • Able to communicate with physicians.
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Knowledge/Experience with MEDITECH EMR is preferred
  • Must be proficient and have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

This job reports to the Department Manager

This is a Full-Time position 1st Shift, Monday - Friday (7am - 3:30pm).
