Job Skills / Requirements

Job Summary:

Assumes the accountability and responsibility as a professional. Responsible for providing total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient centered care for an assigned group of patients. Assess the patient, develop a comprehensive nursing plan of care, implement aspects of nursing care, and evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing plan of care.

Required Education, Skills, Abilities:
• Graduate of an accredited program of nursing
• Active RN license to practice in Kentucky
• Satisfactory References
• BLS
• ACLS – within 3 months of hire
• TNCC – within 1 year of hire
• PALS – within 3 months of hire
• NIHSS – within 3 months of hire
• Excellent assessment skills, sense of urgency and ability to prioritize critical patients.
• Previous ED experience preferred, but not required.

Education Requirements (Any)

Associate Degree with related experience

Certification Requirements (Any)

ACLS, within 3 months of hire
TNCC, within 1 year of hire
NIHSS, within 3 months of hire
BLS
KY licensed RN
PALS w/in 3 mos. of date of hire
