Job Skills / Requirements

Pay Rate:  $26.93 per hour
Spanish Bilingual Preferred (pass a test $1.00 more on the hour)

Develops and maintains appropriate CPT and ICD-10 coding documentation and resources as required for clinic services, TB services, school health, WIC and auditing. Responsible for collecting, posting and managing account payments from medical billing.
Responsible for submitting claims, working denials and following up with insurance companies and patients to ensure appropriate collection of medical claims. Responsible for maintaining Preventive Medicaid and Managed Care Organizations, and third-party organizations, Medicaid revalidation and credentialing. Responsible for setting up and Maintaining Electronic Funds Transfer accounts with Medicaid.

Education Requirements (Any)

High school diploma/GED required with two years’ coding experience and AAPC or AHIMA coding certification required
Health Information associate degree with one year experience required, RHIT preferred.

Certification Requirements (All)

RHIT preferred
Coding Certification required.
