Pay: $29.68
Hours:  as needed

Performs specialized work of substantial difficulty in applying the knowledge of nutrition to the prevention of disease and to the promotion of health in both clinic and community settings. Provides evidence-based public health strategies for population-focused diabetes prevention and control activities in alignment with the Department for Public Health’s diabetes funding resources.  Serves as a community resource and LFCHD liaison in providing dietitian’s subject matter expertise to community partner groups, task forces, and coalitions.
Participates in special projects as needed. 

Must be Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian (L.D.) by the Kentucky State Board of Licensure and Certification as provided by the KRS 310.021.

Master's degree in nutrition, a closely related field, or equivalent formal training, which is a bachelor's degree and registration by the American Dietetic Association. Maintenance of L.D. is required. Two (2) year's experience in nutrition and/or health education is required. Experience teaching nutrition programs to group, individual counseling on behavioral management and goal settings, experience using 'person first language.'
