This is a full-time 37.5 hours per week position with a full comprehensive benefits package.  The pay is $15.80 per hour, non-exempt position.  Bilingual fluent in English and Spanish preferred due to high volume of English and Spanish speaking clients. 

This position provides routine but varied administrative support duties in accordance with standard operating procedures to assigned supervisor, division or program.  Services provided will be in the following departments:  Environmental Health, Emergency Preparedness, Infectious Disease, and Community Education Services.   

Some of the essential duties are: performs clerical duties such as faxes various documents promptly; retrieves faxed documents and delivers to appropriate recipients promptly; photocopies various documents; sorts and distributes incoming mail; processes outgoing mail. Establish, organize, and maintain manual and elelctronic filing systems. Maintains records and filing system, prepares forms, verifies information and resolves routine issues.  Carries out and assists supervisor(s) and staff with various projects; gathers information, organizes materials, assembles documents. Receives fee payments for Local and State service charges, and maintains database reconciliations of amounts received.  Organizes and schedules individulals, makes appointments and provides information to public, clients, vendors and others according to policy, procedure and set protocols.  Documents complaints, information requests and other information.  Takes minutes and provide reports regarding various staff and community meetings; such as conferences with permitted establishments, project work groups, and scheduled staff meetings.  Generate activity data reports regarding staff productivity.  Provides back-up administrative and clerical support to assigned positions in the absence of other departmental staff. 

This position requires a minimum of High School/GED plus 3 years of applicable experience.  Experience in clerical, word processing and spreadsheet applications or an equivalent combination of related training and experience. 

This work is primarily in an office environment and requires frequent interaction with the public and community throughout the day.
