Job Skills / Requirements

Full-time 40.0 hours per week with full benefits package.  Exempt status supervisory role of 1-5 employees. Pay is grade 10 $38.80 per hour ($3,104 biweekly).

This position is responsible for the planning, day-to-day operation, evaluation and management of the department's Quality Management, Public Health Accreditation, and development of the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP).  The incumbent will lead planning and set goals for the programs under their purview and define action steps for meeting the goals.  The incumbent will also develop procedures related to work unit functions, educate staff, and hold staff accountable for following both program and department policies and procedures. 

Serve as subject matter expert and spokesperson for the department(s) supervised, as needed for press interviews and other presentations. 

Lead and oversee quality improvement/quality assurance program(s) for the Department to ensure continuous process and service improvements.  Develop, oversee and consult on QI initiatives/programs within the Department. Provide or direct training and education on QI/QA. 

Lead and oversee the Quality Management (QM) for the agency. This includes the yearly evaluation of the QM plan and associated plans. Associated plans are QI, QA, Policy Management, Performance Management, and Workforce Development. 

Ensure Completion of all requirements for Public Health Accreditation and leads the accreditation process for the agency. 

Position requires Master's degree in public health related field wtih 5 years of experience or Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience.  Must have 2 or more years of supervisory experience. 

Required related experience in managing or coordinating quality improvement programs; experience in public health administration. Other applicable experience in Public Health Accreditation;, Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement, Strategic Planning, Facilitation of community coalitions. 

Some infrequent travel to and from job assignements as required and some travel 1 to 3 times per year to attend meetings/conferences.

QA: Master's degree public health related field or Bachelor's degree
