Job Skills / Requirements

Full-time IT Technician Support Assistant, 40.0 hours per week with full comprehensive benefits package. Non-exempt, merit position. $15.10 per hour. 

External applications will be reviewed upon successful receipt accordingly. 

Under close supervision performs preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshoots computer systems and peripheral equipment problems and provides end-user technical support throughout the company. 

Resolves or escalates incident reports and document them via ticketing system software. 

Provides support in software and hardware installation and troubleshooting as directed by senior IT staff. 

Reponsible for assistance and support to IT technical staff in their day-to-day activities. 

Performs IT equipment and software audits under close direction of supervisor. 

Provides support alongside professional technicians to ensure smooth installation of new equipment. 

Completes, assigned, help desk tickets in a timely fashion. 

Provides training to staff relating to the hardware and software installed at the health department. 

MUST HAVE: High school diploma plus one year experience.  An associate's degree in Computer Science may also substitute for 1 year of experience. Personal computer support and troubleshooting experience including extensive experience with Windows platforms.  Of this experience, six months must have been spent in a helpdesk environment. Experience with Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook on Windows platforms. CompTIA A+ or CompTIA Net + Certification may substitute for 1-year of experience.  A valid driver's license and a criminal background check are required.
